WISE Freshmen Scholarships-$1000 Value

The Women in Science & Engineering Program awards $500 scholarships to first-time female freshmen students majoring in Engineering or Science. Awards are given on a first-come first-serve basis as funds are available. A second year $500 scholarship will be awarded based on the first year cumulative GPA of 3.25 and passing 24 credit hours.  There is no special application and we will notify you automatically of your award.

Scholarships will be awarded to first time freshman female students admitted to Missouri S&T who meet or exceed the following criteria:

• ACT COMP = 26
• ACT MATH = 26
• CUM GPA = 3.25
• RANK IN TOP 20% OF CLASS
• MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

WISE will utilize the Missouri S&T admissions application form, and therefore a separate application is not required.Scholarship recipients will be notified beginning in November.  

Note:  Sciences include Computer Science, Physics, Math, Biology, and Chemistry.

WISE TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The Women in Science & Engineering Program awards $1,000 scholarships to 10 first-time female transfer students annually. The WISE transfer scholarship award will be made in addition to other university scholarships, grants, etc.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

SELECTION
Scholars are selected on the basis of academic success (3.0 or above), involvement in academic and community organizations, and interest in engineering or science.

Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 are available to first-time female engineering, math, or science transfer students.

APPLICATION
Complete the on-line application before the February 1st deadline. Applications received after February 1st will be accepted as funds are available. 

CONSIDERATION FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP WILL NOT BE MADE UNTIL YOUR TRANSCRIPTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY OUR OFFICE.  Request that your transcripts be sent to:
