Barbara has been Vice President-Sales & Marketing, COALSALES, LLC, St. Louis, Mo, since June 2001. She is responsible for accounts throughout the Eastern United States in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina and Florida. Her responsibilities include sales of coal to utilities from all Peabody production regions, maintaining customer relationships and existing coal sales agreements, promoting addition of new business through bidding on term and spot opportunities, unsolicited sales efforts and innovative transactions.  Also assisting in strategic analysis of changes in market segments. In 2004, managed the sale of 98 million tons of term business to largest U.S. utility.

Barbara has held several positions with Peabody Coal Company, Peabody Holding Company, and Peabody COALSALES Company since 1979. From 1979-1982 she was Project Engineer, Peabody Coal Company, 1987 - 1992 Programmer Analyist with Peabody Holding Company Inc., 1992-1994 Senior Programmer Analyst, Peabody Holding company, Inc., 1994-1995 Applications Specialist, Peabody Holding company, Inc., 1995 -1996 Account Manager, Peabody Holding Company Inc., 1996-1998 Manager-Customer Service, Peabody COALSALES, 1998-1999 Manager-Transportation and Customer Service, Peabody COALSALES, and 1999- June 2001 District Vice President Sales, Peabody COALSALES.

Barbara received a B.S. degree in Mining Engineering in 1979 from the University of Missouri Rolla, a M.S. degree in Management Information Systems in 1987 from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

She is married to Mike Busby who is UMR alumni, B.S. Civil Engineering 1978. They have three sons, Robert, 23, Jeffrey, 20, and Andrew, 15.
